So here's a couple of recent cards I did for myself and a few for the "Cards" magazine cover contest. Of course I didn't get chosen as a finalist, but I still like the cards I did.
And then this weekend we had our third "Crafternoon" event and there were nine of us there! Oh my. It was pretty cool that all of us came together to craft and we all made different things. I focused on sign painting for spring. (A few of these are available in my Etsy shop.) It's so much fun to get together with other people that like to craft as much as I do.

such pretty cards! How wonderful to have a Crafternoon....my craft group consist of my 2 kids & I. As it is, it's difficult to go to a craft shop to get something as most times, the people there hv no idea what I'm saying - literally since I don't speak Japanese!
The cards are beautiful! Good job.
hi laurie,
awesome cards (love the birds -- i'm big into that right now) and signs!
the idea of crafternoon is so cool. where do you hold meetings? just curious cuz i'd love to put one together at some point. local library?
xo
I'm clapping for you for submitting cards to "Cards" magazine. I've never had the courage to do that. Your cards are beautiful, colorful and happy! I want to buy your button bracelet...the colors remind me of sherbet. I've made some button bracelets but I've used a metal bracelet form with a clasp. I like your stretchy one. Your signs are cute-wish I had a potting shed!
Have a good week Laurie!
hi laurie,
i used to think the same thing -- what is this pink saturday? beverly of how sweet the sound (link at my blog) puts it together. just let her know you want to participate and she adds your name to her long list of blogs where people post about something pink on saturday and visit one another. it's fun. hope that helps!
in the meantime, happy green tuesday aka st. patrick's day! LOL
These cards are fabulous, Laurie! I just love your work :) The signs are great too!
