Summer is Here!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Independence Day! We had our usual one here - very low key - just hanging out at home. This has been the first nice weekend we've had in about a month - seriously! So it was so nice to stay at home and be together. The weather was just gorgeous - 70 degrees and breezy - beautiful!
Here's my two enjoying sparklers. They were so excited to get out tonight and set things on fire! Little pyros! :)
Also - I've been doing even more sewing lately, although I don't have much to show for it. Here's some little lavender sachets I made just for fun. I especially like the one with the bird house on it - I free form sewed it right on top of the material. It was like drawing with thread. Fun!

Hi Laurie! Hanging out at home is the safest place to be! That's what we've been up to, as well, on this end! Hope that your day was a happy one!

hugs,
Christina :)

Happy 4th!! I love the picture of Chloe with the sparkler. She looks like she's doing a Charlies Angel pose (not on purpose I'm sure!) :) Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

And those little sachets are adorable! I especially like the little patchwork one on the bottom.

And YAY for sunshine!! Finally!

Hi Laurie ,it,s cottonreel, I never even thought of doing something different for lavender bags. Yours are just too, too.
Re, the little bags on my blog, They are out of a -Art to Heart- book.- originally, but I now make up my own .
I cut them out 11insx12-1/2, put a cuff for the top 2x11 ins a lining and a thin strap for the handle.
Before making up, put your motifs on the front. Your a clever girl , click on my pictures to get an idea. When you have done one you will be well away.My sister made lots at easter with choccy eggs in
I,ll be coming back to see how you are getting on,

Thanks for stopping by my blog on your blog hop today. I love it when people leave me messages.

ALL of my kids are pyros. They learned it from their dad, of course...

The photo from my header was taken in Malibu, CA at Malibu Gardens Nursery.

Happy Sewing!

Happy days, Laurie! Love yr spacious kitchen with that counter space! Seems like many people are sewing up a storm nowadays! We're now in the most northern most part of Germany, on the island Sylt, off the coast of Denmark.
