Scrappy Cat

I guess I am in a blogging mood today. But I had to snap this picture of my cute cat - all curled up around my scrap stuff. Lately he has been very needy and insists on sitting on whatever I'm working on at the moment.

Sorry to steal your idea Deb but it was coincidence, really!

Queen for a day

This morning my wonderful husband got up early with the kids and actually LET ME SLEEP IN LATE! Oh my gosh - this NEVER happens.

But hold on to your seat.... it gets better! He then proceeded to bring me BREAKFAST IN BED!

(Can you believe it?? I can't either - hence the caps type!)

He kissed me good morning, then my son did too - and then reality crashed back at me when my daughter jumped all over the bed. But hey - for a few minutes, it was bliss!.....

Tote-ally Twinners

So... this is my hubby's version of the "Tote-ally Cool" bag - ha! His is the one on the right. I bought this for him a year or so ago for his tools - for at least half the price of my AMM bag. He uses it all the time, too. Funny thing is they are both virtually the same except his is sturdier for all his tools. Plus it doesn't have a pull out drawer on the bottom and it's not PINK!

Are we meant to be together or what???

Scrap Surfing

I just found this cute site with great products - too bad they're all wholesale! I hate that when I can't buy immediately what I see in a catalog!!! Darn.

I found it on one online store. Need to keep hunting.

Here's another interesting item:

"Canned Memories" - does anyone have this book? I mean, I love little mini-albums, and I love altering things. Just wondering if this book was worth the $$. I am bored with my current idea books. Need something new and fresh.

And what's this? Not much detail, but it almost looks like a big altered match box:

I read about a mini-album in Stacy Julian's article in Simple Scrapbooks which prompted me to check out Sweetwater's site. Anyway .... just surfing as you can tell!

New Store, New Stuff!

So... yesterday I checked out that new Scrap Store that Debbie told me about in Concord - "Scrappin' Soul Sisters." Isn't that a great name for a store?? Thanks to the very cool email directions, I found it - (I don't know my way around Concord at all!).

I bought some cool stuff by "Creative Imaginations" - love that! And then a smattering of others, including Daisy D's. I am a huge Daisy D's fan! Now I just have to create something with it - ha. But I've got a few other projects ahead of that to do first. The nice thing was that I really didn't spend too much money. I love scrapbooking because you can spend a little or a lot and still get great results. AND, it was so cool to find another place nearby to get my "fix!"

So these are our new pets as of today. On Saturday, my son got a new fish at the winter carnival, by tossing balls at little cups or something. Now "Nickelodeon" resides in a large vase in his bedroom. Today we got "NickToon" (original names, eh?) (You think my kid watches tv or anything??) from the local pet store to be company for the first fish. We let the bag sit in the room for a few hours and then my son and I brought the bag and the fishbowl into the bathroom to transport our new addition into his new home. I snipped the edge of the bag hoping to let a bit of the water out into the sink, but instead the fish's face got sucked into the hole plugging it up! Oh no! I didn't know whether to laugh or panic - I mostly laughed! The poor little fish looked pretty funny with his face plugging up the hole in the bag. Eventually I was able to get him back into the water away from the hole, and then into the larger "tank". Argh! Tomorrow I head to Walmart to get a proper tank with a filter, etc. Then soon after that the CAT discovered the fact that we now own two fish. Hmm.....

Ahhh.... the things we do for our kids!

A tribute to my best friend

I did this page about three days ago in honor of my best friend Debbie. Her birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to celebrate her for the generous, giving person that she is!

Thank you, Deb, for all the notes, the CHA updates, the emails and for always coming up to see us! I truly would be less of a person without your constant friendship! Happy Birthday! You are the best!
